Tempranillo, Albillo.
The Wine Advocate:
"Despite the insane price tag, I couldn't help but fall in love with the 2016 La Diva. It's the most elegant of all the wines I tasted here (even though, with time, the 2017 can be as good or perhaps better), with a silky texture, great harmony and elegance. It's nuanced, even if it's still very young, but approachable already with all the components to have a long life in bottle and show well throughout its life. This has 17% white Albillo grapes, which were destemmed and fermented together with the Tempranillo with indigenous yeasts in small oak vats. The élevage lasted 19 months and was in used barriques. 470 bottles and 25 magnums were filled in May 2018.
Dominio de ES is the personal project of Bertrand Sourdais and his wife. It is in the Soria part of Ribera del Duero. Some of the wines might be pricey, but they are among the best in the appellation."
