"The 2011 Leopardi Gran Reserva Brut Nature was cropped from a very dry year with high temperatures. It's a blend of 40% Xarello, 40% Macabeo, 10% Parellada and 10% Chardonnay that matured in contact with the lees in bottle for 48 months. It has an elegant nose, a little reticent but with a nice balance between fruit and yeasty aromas. It's clean, serious and shows good balance in the palate, with fine bubbles that provide a creamy texture, good acidity and freshness. It ends dry. I still think it's a notch below the 2010."
