Baron de Chirel blanco verdejo heeft 6 maanden gerijpt in Frans eiken.
Goede combinatie met kreeft, krab, gamba’s, oesters en sojagerechten, of om zomaar te drinken.
Op dronk, maar kan zich tenminste tot 2020 nog verder ontwikkelen.
Baron de Chirel blanco verdejo kan het beste geserveerd worden bij 8°- 10°C.

''The second vintage of the top-of-the-range Verdejo carries the same name as their iconic red from Rioja. The 2015 Barón de Chirel Viñas Centenarias Verdejo is sourced from the villages of Aldehuela and Aldeanueva del Codonal in the province of Segovia, where some ungrafted, centenary vines remain. The grapes keep very good natural acidity as some vines reach 900 meters altitude and it's a cooler part of the appellation anyway. In this early, dry and healthy vintage, they had moderate yields of smaller grapes that were pressed without being crushed, and the must fermented in 600-liter barrels and 2,000- and 3,000-liter oak foudres where the wine remained in contact with the fine lees for eight months. It's a serious Verdejo, with great freshness and balance, good depth of flavors and the style of yesteryear, including the textbook finish with that faint bitterness and a long aftertaste, lifted by good acidity and a mineral, salty sensation. It's very tasty. This is sold as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla León rather than with the Rueda appellation.''
