| Omschrijving: | 97% Tempranillo, 3% Graciano. 90 Parker punten. 91 Penin punten. Behoort tot Spanjes beste rode wijnen. Roda reserva is een zeer toegankelijke moderne Rioja, die gemakkelijk is te combineren met diverse maaltijden. 16 maanden houtrijping. Een neus van rood fruit, koffie, geroosterde noten. Soepel in de mond, aards, rijp rood fruit, een vleugje peper, cacao en mooie rijpe tannines. Prachtige afdronk. Nu al goed op dronk, maar kan zich tot tenminste 2016 nog verder ontwikkelen. The Wine Advocate: The 2007 Roda Reserva displays a similar aromatic and flavor profile to the 2006. It offers up an inviting perfume of spices, violets, a hint of leather, balsamic, and blackberry. In the glass it is smooth-textured, spicy, and succulent. It is likely to evolve for another 2-3 years but can be approached now. It should continue to drink well through 2019. Bodegas Roda is one of the quality leaders in Rioja. They have embarked on a couple of new projects, the first being the production of an entry-level Rioja named Sela. The second new Roda project is the development of two wines from Ribera del Duero made from100% Tempranillo. Both 2009s were barrel samples but impressive nevertheless.
