The Wine Advocate: The 2004 Llanos del Almendro is from what the estate believes is their finest parcel. From 60+-year-old (mostly grafted) vines, the Tempranillo fruit is aged for 21 months in French barriques of which 66% are new. Opaque purple in color, with a more open and expressive nose of minerals, smoked meat, and blue and black fruits, this full-bodied wine is mouth-filling and rich.
